The Worlds Finest Trimmer 2 Housing/Cutter Assembly with available trim chambers functions identically to the original Worlds Finest Trimmer. The difference is that the WFT2 uses interchangeable trim chambers instead of being caliber specific. Changing out trim chambers is accomplished by removing the cutter and pushing out the trim chamber with the knock-out dowel that is provided. Installing the trim chamber is accomplished by setting the trim chamber on a flat surface and steadily pushing the housing onto the trim chamber.
Easily trim 10 or more cases per hour:
The Worlds Finest Trimmer 2 was developed to simplify and speed up one of the most tedious aspects of reloading, the process of trimming cases. Using a cordless or electric drill to spin the trimmer, cases can be easily trimmed at a rate of 10 per minute. The WFT2 is easily adjusted to the reloader's desired overall case length. Once adjusted, cases can be repeatedly trimmed to a tolerance of 0.001". The razor sharp high speed cutter insures a smooth cut of the case mouth, only needing to be slightly chamferred on the inner edge. Since the case is supported by the shoulder, pilots are not needed which eliminates a potential source of inaccuracy.
Easily set trim length:
Trim length is easily set by loosening the 2 set screws on the sides of the trimmer body. Slide the cutter to your desired length and re-tighten the set screws. The easiest way to set a repeatable trim length is to use a master case. This is simply a case which has been resized and then trimmed to your desired trim length such as recommended Trim-to-Length.
Trim more than one caliber with a particular trimmer:
Each Worlds Finest Trimmer 2 (WFT2) is designed to trim one cartridge or cartridge family. So the 308 trimmer will also trim 7mm-08, 260 Rem and 243 Win. This is possible because they all share the same shoulder angle, 20 degrees. Since 7mm-08, 260 Rem and 243 Win all shoot bullets smaller in diameter than the 308, the cases will fit inside the neck of the 308 trimmer. So for instance you would not be able to use the 260 Rem trimmer to trim 308 Win because the neck of the case wouldn't fit inside the trimmer due to the larger diameter of the bullet. In the case of using the 308 Win trimmer to trim 7mm-08, 260 Rem or 243 Win, the shoulder will be supported but the neck won't due to the smaller bullet diameter. For the neck to be supported, you have to use the trimmer for the specific caliber you're interested in trimming. For more information, see the WFT Trimmer Cross Reference chart below:
